Rules can perform very different tasks. However, it is important that they do not interrupt with each other.
Sometimes you might also need one rule that can run itself and stop others from activating.

In this article, we will explain how it works

How rule sequencing works in NapoleonCat

The rules always run in order from top to bottom. However, their order can be changed by simply pressing the button with up-down arrows, shown in the image below

Pressing the button will show additional buttons, visible on the left side, and a warning informing of potential changes to the way that system works. (each rule affects the system)

We can hold these buttons with the left mouse button, so the rules can change their position, this determines the order in which they are executed

Rules with pause and their influence on other rules

The pause icon is also very important, it informs you that after a rule is executed, no further actions will be taken. For the pause to work, you need to manually select the specific option visible at the very bottom of the page when editing a rule:

Here are some examples of how the pause works in practice.

Example 1:

The pause is in the first rule, and if its conditions are met, the other rules will not be activated.

Example 2:

In this situation (if the conditions are met), rules 1, 2 and 3 will work, but when the third one is activated, the fourth will not be work.

Example 3:

In this case, the 1st and 2nd rules will work. If the 3rd rule is activated, the 4th rule will not work. On the other hand, if the third rule is not activated, the fourth one will work.
