πŸ‘‹ Hello there!

Once you create an Auto-moderation rule, it's absolutely not set in stone. πŸ—Ώ Meaning, you can always change it.

Fancy a change? Go for it! Update the platform, switch the social media page, edit the message type, tweak triggers or actions – it's your call!

Have you just finished with your summer sale and need to hit the pause button on your Auto-moderation rule? Easy! So let's jump right into it.

Edit a rule

πŸ’ Changes only come into play once you've clicked on "Save&Run", and will take effect on customer interactions (mentions, messages, comments, etc.) you've received after the adjustments.

To modify an Auto-moderation rule, follow these steps:

  1. Head over to Auto-moderation in NapoleonCat

  2. Spot the pencil icon next to the rule you aim to edit and click it:

βš™οΈ Bottom line: you can tweak very element of your Auto-moderation rule: social media platform, social media profile, message type, condition, trigger, actions, notifications, schedule – it's your call!

  4. Once you're happy with the edits, hit the yellow "Save&Run" button in the top, right-hand corner. And that's it!

Disable or resume a rule

Completed a product launch and no longer need the Auto-moderation rule for it? Or perhaps your festive event has ended and you don't need those special replies anymore?

No stress! You can hit the pause button on an Auto-moderation rule whenever you wish. It'll wait patiently, keeping all the progress safe until you're ready to roll again.

  1. To disable a rule, hop on over to Auto-moderation

  2. Find the disable toggle next to the name of the Auto-moderation rule and slide it off:

  3. To resume a rule, just turn the switch back on. πŸ‘†

Remove a rule

Feel like decluttering your rule list and need to get rid of a rule for good? You absolutely can!

☝️ A word of caution: once a rule is deleted, it's gone for good. There's no bringing it back.

To remove an Auto-moderation rule, follow these steps:

  1. Head over to Auto-moderation

  2. Find the trash icon right next to the rule:

Edit, Disable, or Remove Your Auto-Moderation Rule in NapoleonCat

  3. Hit it, and you're done!

And that wraps it up.
