How alerts work
πββοΈQuick heads up! Email alerts are currently set up to work with Facebook pages only. But don't worry, Instagram isn't left out of the party.
You can easily set up email notifications for Instagram when creating Auto-Moderation rules.
Each of your social media pages comes with its own separate alert rules, and different types of interactions have their unique rules too. It's as if you've got a group of keen-eyed kitty guardians monitoring your pages! π
You'll receive an alert as soon as your triggers are met, which is something we go into more detail a bit further down this page.
Interaction types you can get notified about
Posts: Get updates on new posts made by users on your page
Comments: Receive notifications when someone comments on your posts
Posts or Comments: Get notified about either new posts and comments, or both, with combined alerts
Page Posts: Get alerts when another business page mentions your profile on their page
Keywords: Be in the know when specific keywords pop up in posts or comments
How to set up alerts
Here's how to set up tailor-made alerts to fit your specific needs:
Head over to Workspace settings - Alerts, and click "Add new alert*
Choose the right page from the dropdown, set the frequency, choose how many comments or posts should trigger a notification, and select the interaction type
Enter email addresses and/or phone numbers. Separate them with commas. For example:
Hit "Add Alert", and there you have it!
When it comes to keywords, just specify the words that will activate an alert. Prefer alerts during specific hours? Toggle on the "Between hours" option β it's that simple!
You'll also see a description of your newly-created alert (e.g., "If on page [Cats] in [10 min] appear [1 post] then send notification to: acme@acme.com"):
To remove an alert, simply hit the Trash icon next to it. π
And that's all there is to it!
