Why is it necessary to link the ad account with the organic account?
When it comes to TikTok Ads, there are several ways ad comments are tagged in its API. Although from a user perspective, a comment under an ad looks the same as any other, from a technical standpoint, the social media platform itself might tag it differently in the background. Depending on these tags, ad comments are fetched from TikTok Ads to NapoleonCat. We are able to reply to some of these comments using the advertising permissions you have granted, but unfortunately not to all of them.
How to work around this limitation?
Our developers have found a solution that allows you to reply to all ad comments. This is possible by linking the organic account with the ad account, so that when replying via the ad account is not possible, you can reply using the organic account. By connecting the organic account in the same workspace where your ad account is connected, you can link your TikTok profiles under the same brand to apply this workaround in practice.
How to set up this workaround?
First of all, make sure that for the given brand, you have both the organic profile and the ad profile connected in the same workspace (link on how to connect profiles: Connect Your Social Media Pages)
At the very bottom of the list of connected profiles, find the panel as shown in the screenshot below (this view is available only when at least one ad account is added to the workspace).
Next, you can link your organic account with your ad account. It is possible that you have several TikTok ad accounts for the same brand. In that case, you can link your organic account with more than one ad account.
After clicking on a specific profile, you will see the profile selection options and the ability to save your choice.
Once everything is done, you will see a view like the one presented in the screenshot below. Remember that you can always change the linked organic profile if needed.
Done! Now you can reply to all TikTok ad comments in NapoleonCat :)
