Connecting Instagram Ads might feel a bit more complex compared to other social media platforms, as it requires a few steps to be followed beforehand. But don’t worry.
This guide covers everything you need — from pre-setup requirements to linking your account 🤓 Let’s dive in!
Prep for Connection
Before we jump into connecting Instagram Ads, you need to make sure that the Facebook Page, Instagram Business Account, and Ad Account are all part of the same Business Manager.
First, add your Instagram account to Meta Business Manager:
Settings > Accounts > Instagram Accounts > Add
Connect your Instagram account to the correct Facebook Page:
Settings > Pages > Connected Assets
Assign the Instagram account to your ad account in the same business portfolio:
In Business Settings, go to the Instagram account > Connect Assets > Add your Ad Account
Remember that the connected advertising account must be added to the same business portfolio as your Facebook page and Instagram profile.
Confirm your permissions
Make sure you have at least partial access to the Facebook Page via Facebook Business Manager,
at least partial access to the Instagram account in Business Manager,
and at least partial access (View performance) to the Instagram Ads account.
Connecting Instagram Ads to NapoleonCat
Go to Workspace Settings, hit "Connect profile", and pick "Instagram Ads" from the list
Log in to the FB account that's an admin to the IG Ads account
Pick the FB Pages for NapoleonCat to access
Accept all the requested permissions
You'll get a pop-up window to select your Instagram Ads account
Choose your IG Ads account in the pop-up, hit 'Save', and voilà 🎉
