Wondering how quickly NapoleonCat gets data from social media platforms? You've found the right spot! The speed of data fetching can change depending on the platform and the kind of interaction (comments, direct messages, mentions, etc.).
Most of the time it's super fast, but for some platforms and types of communication it might take a bit longer.
In this piece, we'll dive into what webhooks and scan frequencies are, and give you the lowdown on data fetching speeds for each platform. ⌛
Glossary
Before we dive in, let's get some definitions explained. We'll use them throughout this article. 🤓
Webhooks - They're real-time notifications sent by social media platforms to inform NapoleonCat of new acitivity, like a new direct message, comment, mention, and such.
This means certain types of incoming communication can be fetched almost instantly
Scan frequency - This is how often NapoleonCat checks social media platforms for new customer interactions. Each platform has its own allowed scan frequency
And with that in mind, let's have a look at the specifics. 👇🏽

⚠️ NapoleonCat does not import collaborative posts where the profile has been tagged as a co-author. For a post to be properly imported into the system, it must be published directly by the profile connected to NapoleonCat — that profile must be the original author (initiator) of the post. Only then can its data be imported into the Inbox.

💁🏻♂️ For LinkedIn, the data fetching process runs continuously in hourly intervals. However, due to varying profile sizes, it's tricky to pinpoint the exact scan frequency.
What we do know is that the scanning takes place at a minimum of one hour apart. Essentially, the scanner keeps working non-stop, cycling through pages starting with the "oldest" and moving to those that haven't been scanned for at least an hour.
