More and more businesses use bots to handle incoming questions from their customers on Facebook. This is great if you're dealing with run-of-the-mill matters, but sometimes one of your fans wants to talk to an actual human. Thankfully, you can have the best of both worlds - a ManyChat bot and a Social Inbox for handling messages from customers who request a conversation with a representative of your company. Read on to find out how to integrate a ManyChat bot with NapoleonCat and how to manage conversations from your Inbox.

Enabling Facebook Handover Protocol

Handover protocol enables two or more Facebook apps to participate in a conversation at the same time. By default, the Primary Receiver app handles incoming user messages - in this case, ManyChat. The Secondary Receiver is second in line to handle messages - this is what we need NapoleonCat to do.

In order to do this properly, please head over the ManyChat's support article that explains how to set up Primary and Secondary Receivers:

ManyChat's Handover Protocol

Setting up the ManyChat Bot

Once you're done setting up ManyChat as the Primary Receiver, go to your Bot Settings and choose NapoleonCat as a LiveChat App.

Now, go to the Automation tab, where you can set up how the Primary Receiver passes over control to the Secondary Receiver. Please make sure to set up a button that will trigger this sequence.

Updating Your NapoleonCat Settings

Once you've updated your ManyChat settings, head over to your NapoleonCat project settings. Tick the box that appears on the right side of your chosen profile.

When chosen, the button will turn yellow.

After updating your project settings, please ask all users to refresh their browsers. In order to make sure that the settings have taken effect, go to your NapoleonCat Inbox and check the options available in your profile settings on the right side of your screen. If the Bot has been integrated correctly, you should see "Messenger messages" instead of "private messages".

If this is what you see, congratulations! You've succesfully integrated a ManyChat Bot with NapoleonCat :)
