Keeping track of the essential metrics is one of the most important things when it comes to enforcing a solid Social Media strategy. It doesn’t really matter if you’re managing a company page with a million followers or you’re a blogger - using the Analytics module is going to be something you’ll have to get used to.
The NapoleonCat Analytics module is a powerful tool that will allow you to monitor your content’s performance across most social media platforms. But before we get into details, let’s see the bigger picture and understand how it works.
How it works
The Analytics module has been built upon APIs - application programming interface, allowing communication between systems. Seems pretty technical, but thanks to this NapoleonCat is able to fetch data stored within different social media environments. Although APIs are being shared from their source, not everything is available for implementation at once.
So now that we know where the data comes from, here’s a handful facts you should know about NapoleonCat’s Analytics:
When you link a profile, NapoleonCat can fetch historical data for the past 2 months. However, once you link your profiles, we start storing your data, and depending on your subscription plan it can be 12 (for Standard) or 24 (for Pro) months.
IMPORTANT: After connecting a profile to NapoleonCat please allow up to 24h for the data to populate the Analytics module.
IMPORTANT: If you’re looking for more historical Facebook data that reaches further back than 2 months, we’re able to help you with that for an additional fee. For more details please contact us.
What can we measure?
NapoleonCat is compatible with most major Social Media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin and YouTube integrations. In the most basic sense, our Analytics module measures how your content performs across platforms. Most of the platforms share information about:
Also Instagram and Facebook are “enriched” with metrics showing information about:
IMPORTANT: There will be a difference in available data between managed and monitored profiles. Impressions, active users, user demographics and reach will be available for managed profiles only.
All data can be exported. Plus, NapoleonCat allows you to create custom reports that use the data gathered in the Analytics module. To learn more about exporting data, click here. If you’re interested in reporting - click here.
But that’s not all! You can create sets of data from multiple profiles for benchmark analysis (once you have monitored profiles connected). To learn how to do that, click here.
If you’re interested in a cross-platform analysis, you can create a Social Footprint - gather your data from all your social media in one view and monitor how your content performs in a blink of an eye. If you’d like to read more about it, click here.
Now you can take full advantage of your metrics.
